      In my opinion, if you do not buy this for the Horl, you are shorting a product that needs everything it can offer. The 3k and 6k grit stones make this sharpener worth using. Refining an edge makes for a better experience cutting and a longer lasting edge. I would say if you have the Horl and do not have this, you are not doing yourself any favors. All that being said. For the price of the Horl with the added stones. Be dollars and hours ahead with whetstones once learned to use properly, can find good quality stones for a significant savings.
