I recently went on an antelope hunt with my buddy's family. Our crew successfully harvested three antelope. After using my Whitetail, I touched it up with the field sharpener. It only took a few stokes on each side to get it where i wanted it before stropping the edge on my leather ***** sling. This sharpener is a must for those who intend on using a single blade for multipurpose tasks or on multiple animals harvested as I was fortunate enough to do so.

I usually sharpen my knives at home and keep them sharp. I seldom need to sharpen my knives during a camping trip, but on the occasions I do, I find this to be an excellent tool and more effective than sharpening on a river stone (including finding a good river stone to use).

I dulled my Jackstone while feild dressing my Spike bull this archery season, a couple swipes on the MKC Feild knife sharpener and it was good as new.
