Introducing the MKC Traditions Knives, a special collection that brings back the classic hunting knives from my days as a custom knife maker. Each knife in this lineup features a unique desert ironwood handle, renowned for its toughness and one-of-a-kind grain patterns.
The MKC Traditions Knives showcase handles crafted from desert ironwood, a material celebrated for its hard, closed grain that repels oil, blood, and water. This ensures the handle stays clean, stable, and free from warping or cracking. We’ve outfitted five of our models – the Blackfoot, the Whitetail, the Stonewall, the Jackstone, and the Super Cub – with these exceptional handles, each paired with a custom sheath from Francesca at Teton Leather.
Every piece of desert ironwood is unique, just like a fingerprint, offering a variety of grain patterns from burly to straight. This means no two knives are alike, giving you a one-of-a-kind tool that is both functional and visually stunning. The ironwood's natural resilience to extreme conditions makes it perfect for hunting knives.-

What can I say….this is the one that started it all. Feels amazing in your hand and certainly inspires confidence that it can handle whatever ever game you’re chasing. Did I need this one? No…but I had to have it lol. Sometimes amazing quality and love of a product/company overrides need. Get this one yall. You won’t regret it.

I recently went on a meat hunt. helping to reduce some doe number and of course some hogs. I took a doe early and since I have been on a decade hiatus from any hunting, I left my knife at camp like refreshed rookie. a bud loaned me his BF2.0. it was nice. first impressions, I thought the handle would be too slender. nope! the handle is agile. I zipped the doe open, and probably broke my personal time record to dump the gut pile out. at camp, I did a few courtesy swipes on a DMT diamond stone and returned the blade "scary-like-sharp". the magnacut is apparently well within my wheelhouse of sharpening. my personal knife is no slouch (not to be named here :D) but the siren's song of owning my own MCK was too great. I got it a few days ago, and the office lunch avocado didnt stand a chance. I got the olive colored handle, because I have a type. it is great. not the typical drop point a gravitate towards, but form follows function. this is a purpose built hunting knife. no whittling, or try sticks, or batoning wood..for this guy. I have an unused custom in storage waiting, just in case I ever draw an non-res NM elk tag. (one can dream), but to be honest, I should just sell it now. hahaha.. and its a good one!
I do think this thing would make a great pocket carry, but I will have to get a sheath for it.

This is a great little knife! Works perfectly as a paring knife and a great addition to my kitchen knife arsenal. It joins my breaking and boning knifes to complete the set. Versatile, sharp and very useful for small cutting needs in the kitchen!

I think the knife is fine but the spine of the blade has tool marks with many being deep enough that feel like ridges. When I contacted customer service, they told me it’s like fingerprints on the knife making them unique. This is the first I have seen anything like it. Wouldn’t expect it on a knife of this cost, but the customer service was the most disappointing part.

I see you were offered a return label and a refund for the knife and you declined.
