The MKC Traditions Knives showcase handles crafted from desert ironwood, a material celebrated for its hard, closed grain that repels oil, blood, and water. This ensures the handle stays clean, stable, and free from warping or cracking. We’ve outfitted four of our models – the Blackfoot, the Whitetail, the Speedgoat, and the Jackstone  – with these exceptional handles, each paired with a custom sheath from Francesca at Teton Leather.

Every piece of desert ironwood is unique, just like a fingerprint, offering a variety of grain patterns from burly to straight.     Each one, absolutely beautiful and unique

    I have not been disappointed with anything I have bought from Montana Knife Company, so naturally I am drawn to some of these finer finished knives. Full transparency, I’m probably going to set these aside and just let them be pretty their whole lives, but they are incredibly stout and ready for work while at the same time being looking like heirloom pieces. I don’t know exactly what the secret sauce is, but I just cannot say enough about everything I’ve experienced with Montana Knife Company.

    Traditional knife set

    The MKC Traditional Knife set is beautiful! The hardwood handles and the highly polished blades together look sharp. The Jackstone caught my attention, it feels very balanced and I’m excited to use it this fall.
